Shinell Manwaring honored with Gilman Scholarship

Shinell Manwaring, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was honored with a Gilman Scholarship to aid with fall study abroad.

Manwaring is traveling on a Union College term abroad in Japan. Gilman scholars receive up to $5,000 to apply towards their costs to have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of other cultures, countries, languages and economies.
