Kenia Valdez honored at Union College's Prize Day

Kenia Valdez, of Bronx, NY, was recently honored at Union College's annual Prize Day celebration.

Valdez was given the Bruce M. Garber (1971) Prize, given to the premedical or predental student who best exemplifies the qualities of personal integrity and humane concern for the future practice of medicine or dentistry. She was also awarded the Mark Rosenthal '76 Memorial Prize, given to a senior involved in community activities, in good academic standing and planning to attend medical school.

Union College, founded in 1795 as the first college chartered by the New York State Board of Regents, offers programs in the liberal arts and engineering to 2,100 undergraduates of high academic promise and strong personal motivation.
