Astrid Vargas studying abroad this summer in Union College program

Astrid Vargas, of Rye Brook, NY, will study abroad this summer as part of Union College's International Programs.

Vargas, who is majoring in Anthropology and French and Francophone Studies , will travel to China, focusing on traditional Chinese medicine, society and its medical practices.

Union College offers a diverse array of study abroad programs for its students. Union is ranked #7 in the country by the Princeton Review for its study abroad program, and about 60 percent of Union students will study abroad during their time at the College.

Union College, founded in 1795 as the first college chartered by the New York State Board of Regents, offers programs in the liberal arts and engineering to 2,100 undergraduates of high academic promise and strong personal motivation.
