Antonia Batha graduates from Union College

Antonia Batha, of Los Alamos, NM, graduated from Union College Sunday during the College's 223rd Commencement exercises.

Batha received a Bachelor of Arts degree Magna Cum Laude, majoring in Women's and Gender Studies.

During the ceremony, speaker John Sexton, president emeritus of New York University, urged the class to build on their time as a family at Union to navigate the challenges that lie ahead.

"You leave here as communitarians, or what I call possibilitarians," he said. "Use Union as the North Star as you go through life, use the memories, use the lessons, use the network."
